Many store bought popsicles contain high amounts of sugar and are artificially flavored. But fear not, we have the solution for you. Homemade popsicles are easy to make and much healthier than what you will find in your local freezer section. All you need is 100% fruit juice and the frozen fruit of your choice. This way your frozen treat has no added sugar and a natural fruit flavor, which is much better for your body. Fruits, like mangoes, serve as great popsicle flavors and are known to have a variety of health benefits. Mangoes are linked to reducing the effects of aging, atherosclerosis, heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes (Lauricella, et. al., 2017). Try these refreshing mango-peach popsicles by using our recipe below.


Mango-Peach Popsicles

Ingredients:

1 cup of frozen peaches

1 cup of mango

4.5 cups of 100% orange peach mango juice

 

Directions:

Pour juice into blender and add frozen mango and peach chunks. Blend all ingredients together until you have a smoothie like consistency. Fill the popsicle sleeves and freeze for 3-5 hours.

 

Tips:

Add small diced pieces of fruit to your popsicles before freezing.

Save some money and freeze your own fruit when its ripe.

Substitute your favorite 100% juice into your popsicle.
